Tweezers, Scissors and a vacuum… - ‘Split Ends’

Tweezers, Scissors and a vacuum… This show wasn’t just ‘good enough’ it was fantastic.

In this artistic showcase, ‘Split Ends’, you see much more than just a story, you see the raw emotion coming from Claudia in their performance. However, it’s not only this raw unfiltered emotion that you see, but their honesty also makes this so much more than ‘good enough’. The show follows Claudia battle with addiction, obsession and… herself. All conveyed through the use of household objects.

The way they utilise the whole stage is phenomenal, dancing, singing, the props used, even the background. From the first second I was captivated by the performance. Claudia is able to transport you into her journey through this piece, and I think that they have created something more important than they think, it is clear this is important to themselves but I also believe this is really impactful to the viewer, it really does make you think.

The performance is really powerful and brave, to have developed something so honest and unapologetically personal, and have the confidence to show it off to the world is amazing, and I would urge anyone, if you have the chance, to go and see it.
