🎭 Shed Theatre Returns with a Rain-Soaked Tale of Love, Loss and Laughter

Hot off the heels of their sold-out run of Love Steals Us From Loneliness (with a nod of support from Gary Owen himself), Shed Theatre is back — and this time, they’re bringing a brand-new piece of Welsh writing to life at Theatr Bont, Bridgend.

🌧️ Pluviophiles (We Loves’ the Rain)

A darkly comic three-hander with live music, spanning eight years in the heart of Swansea.

Meet Bethan — a young woman trying to carve out a life of safety and simplicity amidst the chaos. Through her eyes, we journey from teenage years to present day, where she meets Connor: a dreamer stuck on the top of Townhill, full of ambition but short on direction. As their lives entwine, questions bubble to the surface: Who is Bethan, really? And is it love, comfort, or something altogether stranger that binds them?

Directed by rising local talent Lauren Ellis-Stretch, written by Swansea’s own Evan L. Barker, and featuring original music by Iwan Bond — who also joins the cast alongside Pontarddulais actor Annalise Williamson. It’s an all-Welsh team, and they’re ready to stir hearts and spark conversations.
